21. Occasionally, a patch of low level moisture will pass from east to west across the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico sometimes with light rain. 22. Relatively light winds remained and low level moistures developed patchy fog over areas in the interior valleys of Puerto Rico during the predawn hours. 23. Satellite images indicate mainly upper level moisture being transported northward and across the local islands. 24. Significant low level moisture is located near this surface trough with it acting as a focal point for scattered showers this morning. 25. Significant low level moisture with scattered showers will be found near this old boundary and will affect north and northeast portions of our area this morning. 26. Sufficient amounts of low level moisture and instability exist today for scattered showers to develop across our islands. 27. The air mass will remain dry and stable aloft with ample low level moisture from the ocean. 28. The northeast trade wind now has low level moisture embedded in it over the Atlantic. 29. This combination of the upper level disturbance and low level moisture will act to destabilize the local airmass later today. 30. This would destabilize the local airmass combining with the lower level moisture to induce scattered showers. |
