1.   In Florida and the Gulf states, however, a foggy winter morning often indicates high amounts of low level moisture, a necessity for storm formation.

2.   A modest increase in low level moisture locally will yield some weak shower activity late tonight and Wednesday.

3.   A trough of low pressure and low level moisture produced the scattered showers over the Caribbean waters and around St. Croix this morning.

4.   A slight increase in low level moisture can be seen on satellite photos moving into the northeast Caribbean this morning ... producing scattered light showers.

5.   A stream of low level moisture moved in overnight on southeasterly winds around the atlantic sub-tropical high pressure system.

6.   Although low level moisture have increased sligthly over the region...This system will inhibit widespread formation of showers over our area.

7.   As this tropical wave continues to move west through Sunday, a gradual increase in low level moisture will occur across the local area.

8.   But an increase in low level moisture moving into the area this morning is expected to allow more widespread thunderstorm activity to develop this afternoon than on Saturday afternoon.

9.   Clouds remained over the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes and upper Mississippi Valley, as low level moisture was caught beneath a colder northwesterly flow.

10.   Fog developed in areas of the Great Lakes and upper Mississippi Valley where low level moisture was trapped.
