1. Probably the greatest number were always corn mills, those more distant being used to provide a steady income. 2. The corn was already knee-high and growing fast. 3. Because corn is the main ingredient in cattle, hog and poultry feed, farmers and ranchers have been sending animals to the slaughterhouse to cut feeding costs. 8. A portion of oats gives some of the best stouts their silky smoothness, and corn is a staple of many a cheaply made lager, including Corona. 9. Brentwood farm corn is available at roadside stands throughout eastern Contra Costa County, most of which are open daily. 10. But both white and yellow corns are rich in potassium and in vitamins B and C. |
