1.   The trees were covered with tart wild plums.

2.   Along with corn soup, white fish, maple-sugar candies, cornstarch candy, wild plums, watercress, beans, squash and boiled pumpkin.

3.   And following the courses of those were bands of trees, mostly scrubby thorn and clumps of wild plum, with an occasional massive cottonwood rearing above the rest.

4.   Footpaths are framed with plumeria, mangos, Spanish dagger and wild plum.

5.   We pluck tasty wild plums and move on and upward.
