1. A new code of practice governing the advertising of tobacco products is being introduced. 2. All tobacco products must carry a health warning. 3. Other measures including further restrictions on access to cigarettes and on the promotion of tobacco products need to be considered. 4. The Act makes it an absolute offence for a shopkeeper to sell cigarettes or any other tobacco product to young people. 5. The bill will restrict the advertising of tobacco products. 6. The organization ran a national campaign about the dangers of cigarettes and other tobacco products. 7. Advertising would only be allowed inside establishments which sold tobacco products. 8. But cobblers and laundry owners could be in trouble, and tobacco products should be avoided altogether. 9. Already, the American Medical Association is pushing for additional measures, including greater restrictions on smoking in public, higher taxes on tobacco products and export restrictions. 10. Analysts said the challenge will have little influence over proposed FDA rules on tobacco products. |
