1.   It was established by the Basle, Geneva and Zurich stock exchanges together with five major Swiss banks to trade options on eleven Swiss stocks.

2.   Also Thursday, Credit Suisse was hit by a lawsuit filed in the United States asserting that Swiss banks had financed the apartheid regime of South Africa.
