1. Another way to mount wall shelves is with vertical tracks, called standards, and shelf brackets. 2. A matching size screw is then inserted into the center and serves to actually attach the shelf bracket or hook to the anchor. 3. On finished walls, mount shelf brackets to the studs behind the wallboard with two-inch wood screws. 4. Shelf brackets can also be mounted to masonry walls if you use the proper fastener. 5. Standards, like individual shelf brackets, should be screwed down to studs in the garage wall when possible. 6. This means the bolt has to go through the shelf bracket before inserting it into the hole. |
