1.   Her ambition is understandable, but her earnest, irony-free sensibility seems ill-suited to the cynical navel gazing of alternative rock.

2.   Now, though, that gothic sensibility seems to be edging into the mainstream.

3.   While there are touches of India and of Italian tailoring in this collection, the overall sensibility seems to be one of Asian austerity and serenity.

4.   Chinese sensibilities seemed to have been accommodated in the package, since there is no oil embargo which would inflict most pain.
