1.   Screwdriver blades might have a retractable sheath or ultrasonic guards, for example.

2.   Remove it by sliding a screwdriver blade under the ring and pulling it off the stem.

3.   The only way to avoid a disaster like this is to immediately jam something like a screwdriver blade into the kerf before the binding starts.

4.   Then fold each end of the sticky tape up around the screw head and press these ends against the screwdriver blade.
