1.   Ann Meyers, the first four-time basketball All-America and the first female athletic scholarship recipient at UCLA, will be there.

2.   Another former inmate and Colson scholarship recipient is a Cuban American who, with his wife, is setting up halfway houses for inmates.

3.   Families of scholarship recipients were also reticent.

4.   Her eldest daughter is a HOPE scholarship recipient in Georgia and is a sophomore at University of Georgia in Athens.

5.   The scholarship recipients would have to spend at least four years teaching in urban or rural schools with pronounced teacher shortages, her aides said.
