1.   Authorities have yet to seriously investigate other big brokerages even though some have admitted they also dealt with the same racketeer.

2.   Daiwa Securities Co. fell on news the company made payoffs to the same racketeer who extorted millions from Nomura Securities Co. and Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank Ltd.

3.   Over two dozen companies in the Mitsubishi and Hitachi industrial groups have also said they paid the same racketeer for use of a beach cabana near Tokyo.

4.   Prosecutors today raided offices of Daiwa Securities Co. on suspicion it paid the same racketeer.

5.   The scandal has grabbed national headlines since it broke in March, when Nomura Securities Co. admitted to paying off the same racketeer.

6.   Tokyo prosecutors raided the headquarters of Yamaichi Securities on suspicion that it, too, had made payments to the same racketeer.
