1.   Antilock-braking systems prevent skids by automatically easing the brake pressure on the wheels before they lock up.

2.   ABS cannot prevent all skids.

3.   It also detects over- and understeer and corrects to prevent skids.

4.   The Seville, too, has an all-speed traction control and Stabilitrak, a stability system that helps to prevent skids.

5.   The SSEi gets the stability system used on Cadillacs, which helps to prevent skids.

6.   This works in conjunction with the quattro and the Electronic Stability Program, which further enhances stability by working to prevent skids in hard cornering or in emergency maneuvers.

7.   While acting a lot like ABS systems, this program adds more electronics to help prevent a skid, even when entering a corner too fast.
