1.   Both malls are owned by Los Angeles-based real estate investment trust Westfield America Inc.

2.   ERE Yarmouth owned the malls on behalf of a group of pension funds.

3.   Ga Oluku Lagbara, a black pastor who owns the mall with his wife, said he and his customers were comfortable with the Nation of Islam.

4.   Mills Corp. is a real estate investment trust that owns five malls in places such as Washington, Philadelphia and Dallas.

5.   One is the Macerich Co., which owns malls in the West, primarily in California, where real estate values are rebounding.

6.   Peter D. Cummings, president of Northline Joint Venture, which owns the mall, said the company intends to provide counseling to victims and their loved ones.

7.   The talks come in the wake of the sale of another large private real estate investment trust that owned malls.

8.   The Jacobs Group will still own five malls, including Westgate Mall in Fairview Park, and two that are being developed.
