1.   Before applying new caulk, use a utility knife, screwdriver, putty knife or caulk-removing tool to take off the old caulk.

2.   Rinse thoroughly, and install new caulk.

3.   Scrape the area with a wire brush to create a good surface for the new caulk.

4.   Scrape off any old grout or adhesive from the fixture and the wall, and apply the new adhesive caulk to all contact surfaces.

5.   With alcohol, clean the area where new caulk will be applied.
