1. As creative as the Coens often are, screenwriter Ethan has a habit of losing his narrative thread in the second half of films. 2. Nonetheless, the authors never allow the plethora of detail to get in the way of the narrative thread. 5. That is an utterly credible statement because at times his narrative thread is painfully difficult to follow. 6. The point is that their curiosity ignites my own, and some ensuing attention is paid to the narrative thread that unites us all. 8.
