2.   Monks wearing maroon robes, with shaved heads and Adidas sandals, roam the grounds or tool about in golf carts.

3.   The group included Americans dressed in Tibetan garb as well as Tibetan monks in maroon robes.

4.   The rallies, led by Buddhist monks in flowing maroon robes, ended at the United Nations offices in New Delhi and Katmandu.
