2.   In earlier restorations cement was used, which is stronger but caused damage to the limestone statue.

3.   The limestone statues were in excellent condition when they were uncovered this weekend at the ancient site of Tamassos.

4.   Various pharaohs restored the limestone statue in the millennia to come, one even painting it red.
