1.   Seven Afghan drug traffickers were killed during clashes with police in the northeastern Khorasan province, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Monday.

2.   Six traffickers were killed and one soldier wounded in the gun battle.

3.   Two suspected drug traffickers were killed and an unknown number of others fled into the surrounding hills.

4.   Fifteen traffickers were killed or wounded during the raid in the region of Saravan in Sistan-Baluchestan province bordering Pakistan, IRNA said.

5.   Three armed drug traffickers were killed by Russian border guards in an exchange of fire as they tried to cross into Tajikistan, the Interfax news agency reported Friday.
