Harada, the large hill world champion, lagged third after the first series, behind Peterka and another Japanese, Hiroya Saito. 3. Masahiko Harada, a former normal hill world champion, became the first Japanese in world championship history to win the large hill competition. 4. The German, a two-time World Cup overall champion and the large hill world champion two years ago, won three of the first four events. 5.
