1.   McCurry said the plan now being developed is based on the more optimistic forecasts developed by the White House Office of Management and Budget.

2.   An isolated shower or thunderstorm was forecast to develop during the day in the northern Kansas.

3.   Monday night through Thursday ... Major storm or gale center forecast to develop across Central Atlantic Tuesday through Thursday.

4.   Scattered thunderstorms were forecast to develop late across the central Plains, bringing the possibility of tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds.

5.   Showers were forecast to develop along a cold front slowly pushing southward into the Tennessee Valley and mid-Atlantic states.

6.   Showers were forecast to develop across the mid-Atlantic states and flash flooding was possible in areas in Kentucky and the Virginias.

7.   Storms also were forecast to develop over parts of the Southeast, especially over the Carolinas, where several rivers continue above flood stage.
