1.   As a pool of chilly air arrives aloft, additional showers and higher elevation snow may develop in the southern California Sierras.

2.   A potent jet stream disturbance will spiral into the Southwest, bringing valley showers and higher elevation snow to Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado.

3.   Intermittent rain and higher elevation wet snow will persist Saturday morning across New England.

4.   Later Friday afternoon, rain showers and higher elevation snow will move into northern Idaho and western Montana.

5.   Meanwhile, a cold front will promote pockets of rain and higher elevation snow from the northern Rockies to the mountains of Nevada.

6.   Most of the Rockies will be unsettled, with pockets of rain and higher elevation snow lingering in the wake of the storm.

7.   Some showers and high elevation snows will fall, however, in northern Nevada and southern Idaho as a disturbance moves eastward.

8.   Valley rain showers and higher elevation snow will stretch from northwest California to Utah as a jet stream disturbance advances through the interior West.

9.   Valley showers and higher elevation snow are expected from Idaho to western Colorado.

10.   Valley showers and higher elevation snow will also extend inland to the interior Northwest.
