1.   One of the most widely used photos of the Kobe disaster showed a bus hanging precariously over the edge of a partially collapsed overpass.

2.   Other cars were stacked lengthwise in front of the collapsed overpass.

3.   The nose of the rear engine stuck from under the bridge, and three derailed cars were piled on each other beneath the collapsed overpass.

4.   The rest of the train was squashed beneath or against the collapsed overpass.
