Also, the carriers have dissimilar fleets and operations, and it was unclear how they would be combined. 3. American Airlines has defibrillators on all its flights, most other airlines in the U.S. have begun including them and some foreign carriers have, as well. 4. Although it did not name the airlines that had established such programs, the FAA did say that the largest carriers had long had such systems in place. 5. America West officials said the carrier has a history of low labor costs and would have no problem continuing that trend. 6. An important part of moving a building this way is to make sure the carriers have handles to grab, not the bottom of the building. 7. Analysts speculate that Virgin may be choosing Sprint PCS as its U.S. partner because the Kansas City area carrier has more capacity on its network than other U.S. carriers. 8. Analysts say the government probably would not ask as much from United because the carrier has more assets to put up as collateral. 9. And Continental spokesman Dave Messing said the air carrier has a policy against commenting on pending litigation. 10. And so, the FCC said, either way the carrier should have to pay into the national cost-sharing pools that help support local telephone networks. |
