1.   Every time he struck out, Padre fans would both cheer and boo, cheering Sosa for his efforts and booing the pitcher.

2.   Then they booed the pitcher for his, to them, lack of fortitude.

3.   They lost little time booing the pitcher and dismissing him as overpriced and overrated.

4.   When Sosa walked in the eighth inning, Padres fans booed the pitcher, Randy Myers.

5.   They booed the pitcher when he failed to throw a strike and jeered umpire Angel Hernandez when he called a strike.
