1. As long as bears can find garbage, dog food, bird seed or outside freezers to raid, the cycle will continue. 2. A pair of chickadees peck at the bird seed on the feeder just outside the window. 3. Children visit with bird seed. 4. Fill the drilled holes with peanut butter mixed with a small amount of cornmeal, cracker crumbs and wild bird seed. 5. If you buy bird seed in quantity, store the excess in metal containers to protect it from squirrels and other rodents. 6. My upstairs fly-tying desk is about as far as you can get from the bird seed, which I store on my screened porch. 7. One food that draws mice is bird seed that has fallen to the ground from feeders, usually discarded by birds as unpalatable. 8. Probably going to bring them back some special organic bird seed. 9. Since I was a child, there has been a pair of chickadees eating bird seed at that feeder. 10. Some people will do just about anything to keep squirrels out of their bird seed. |
