1. Afternoon heating will also promote isolated afternoon thunderstorms across southern parts of the interior West. 2. Over the western interior and coast of Puerto Rico, afternoon heating may produce a thunderstorm or two with locally heavy rain possible. 3. Afternoon heating from the sun and the sea breeze will combine to produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. 4. Afternoon heating from the sun will cause showers and thunderstorms again, mostly in interior Puerto Rico. 5. Afternoon heating and seabreezes will cause showers and thunderstorms over interior Puerto Rico. 6. Afternoon heating caused thunderstorms to develop in the Tennessee Valley and Southeast. 7. An upper level low northeast of Puerto Rico with an associated trough extending southwest over Puerto Rico combined with afternoon heating was responsible for the heavy rain. 8. An upper level trough moving northwest of the islands and an inflow of moisture from the east will combine with afternoon heating to produce widely scattered thunderstorms. 9. As afternoon heating and a gentle southeast flow combine, the development of an isolated thunderstorm is possible, mainly across the west and northwest sections of Puerto Rico. 10. Due to afternoon heating from the sun showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over the mountainous parts of Puerto Rico this afternoon. |
