4.   Belgian peacekeepers are accused of torturing Somali children and Italian peacekeepers of raping Somali women.

5.   Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic accused U.N. peacekeepers of inaction despite Serb attacks on targets in Sarajevo and elsewhere.

6.   Both sides accused the peacekeepers of favoring the other.

7.   For its part, the Georgian government has often accused Russian peacekeepers of backing separatists and periodically threatened to have them withdrawn.

8.   Georgia frequently has accused Russian peacekeepers of favoring the Abkhazian separatist, but refrained from demanding their permanent withdrawal for fear of unleashing another war.

9.   Georgia, meanwhile, accused Russian peacekeepers of failing to do their job and prevent alleged kidnappings of ethnic Georgians by Abkhazian separatists.

10.   Georgian officials have repeatedly accused Russian peacekeepers of being too soft on separatists.
