1.   Within the area of segmental phonology the most obvious type of difference is where one accent has a different number of phonemes from another.

2.   Drawbacks include annoying narration supplied by a supposed talk-radio voice whose Cajun accent has a phony ring.

3.   Even our Southern accent has an accent.

4.   Her accent has none of the soft lilt of the mountains.

5.   To highlight an object or area, the accent light has to be at least three times as bright as the ambient light.

6.   What effect accents will have on the presidential race is, thus far, unclear.
