41.   The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said cyclone Gretelle was one of the worst ever to hit the island.

42.   The island was hit by heavy rains on Wednesday which flooded many roads and made moving around the island difficult.

43.   The meteorological agency said Typhoon Kirk hit the island early Monday afternoon, issuing a warning against heavy rain and strong winds in the area.
