38.   Complex low pressure in the Northwest and Northern Rockies will produce mountain snows and valley showers from the Washington and Oregon Coasts to the Bitterroots.

39.   Converging winds near the low pressure zone will lift the moist air, resulting in clouds and showers from the eastern Dakotas to the western Great Lakes.

40.   Drier air aloft will inhibit the development of showers from Ohio to the Finger Lakes of New York.
