31.   The Taliban claimed Sunday they have been unable to find the alleged terrorist mastermind and advise him of a recommendation by their Muslim clergy to leave the country.

32.   Those detained so far include Muslim clergy, state officials and at least one mayor of the Islamic Virtue Party.

33.   Witnesses at the time said security forces opened fire at demonstrators during a street march against the arrests of several anti-government Muslim clergy.
