21.   Nail it in place on top of the first patch and finish by covering the nail heads and edges of this second patch with another layer of roof cement.

22.   Now many spots are turning yellow around nail heads and cracks, and peeling.

23.   Or nail the flashing with roofing nails, and dab a bit of cement over each nail head.

24.   Put a dab of roofing cement in the gap to cover the nail heads.

25.   Sanding off the rust and painting over the nail heads is only a temporary fix.

26.   Set the nail heads and fill the holes.

27.   The bottom of the nail head should be flush with the surface of the shingle, not countersunk into it.

28.   The same applies to the showing of the nail heads on the ceiling, which are cooler than the rest of the ceiling despite being covered with plaster.

29.   Then tap the clapboard back to expose the nail heads, and pull the nails.

30.   There are black marks around each nail head, which is flush with the wood.
