21. Faced by the indecision most designers are showing in Paris this season, it is easy for an audience to be seduced by the hypnotic single-mindedness of Lang. 22. For daytime, the designer showed plenty of cashmere shirt-dresses, funnel-neck wool sheaths and wide-legged trousers topped with hooded sweaters or turtlenecks. 23. For several seasons, the only accessories designers showed with their clothes were shoes, or perhaps a pencil-thin belt. 24. For the most part, the designers showed wide-leg three-piece suits, some of pique, which they paired with ties. 25. In her recent fall collections, the popular New York designer again showed various short lengths -- everything from top of the thigh to middle of the knee. 26. In short, they were a welcome contrast to the dozens of see-through chiffons that designers have repeatedly shown for evening. 27.
