21.   The market was very quiet yesterday as most buyers and sellers were sidelined towards the year end, the dealer added.

22.   The market saw some buying activities especially in the near month while some liquidation activities were seen in the forward month, the dealer added.

23.   The soyaoil futures on the Chicago Board of Trade closed higher Tuesday night but it was not strong enough to support the local market sentiment, the dealer added.

24.   The ringgit factor and the better export figure for last month which boosted the market on Monday had little impact yesterday, the dealer added.

25.   The stronger greenback against the ringgit also supported the market, which saw the presence of foreign buyers yesterday, the dealer added.

26.   The weaker ringgit against the US dollar also boosted market sentiment, the dealer added.

27.   There was also some adjustment on rubber prices in line with the movements of the ringgit against the US dollar, the dealer added.

28.   However the thin turnover highlighted investor confidence was yet to be fully recovered, dealers added.

29.   However, the real key to short-term sentiment in the British market would be the performance on Wall Street in the afternoon, the dealers added.

30.   In London, dealers added that a profits warning from the Argos retailer had added to the downbeat market sentiment here.
