11.   Rumors have surfaced throughout the year that Volvo was looking at Deere, Case, Navistar, Cummins Engines and other players in the truck market.

12.   Siemens Automotive, owned by the German industrial company, is working on a different approach for the truck market.

13.   Some analysts, however, say such comparisons are misleading because Volkswagen is just a car company while Daimler is more diversified and dominates the truck market.
