1.   The first one mounted the runway and briskly walked its length, barefoot on the nail points.

2.   Grinding down is not a good idea because grinding will take off the galvanized finish, and the nail points will be prone to rust.

3.   I do not relish the idea of grinding down dozens of nail points.

4.   I am getting frost in winter on the nail points coming through the roof, and more frost appears at the low end of the roof between rafters.

5.   I checked the crawl spaces behind those knee walls, and found that the nail points coming through the roof are raining water.

6.   I then noticed a lot of water developed on the nail points coming through the roof, dripping on the floor.

7.   If you paint the nail points and sheathing, the points will fade into the background, but not disappear.

8.   My neighbor had a similar situation, and he ground down each nail point.

9.   Sold in home centers, they are thick discs of nylon on a nail point.

10.   Tap in the plywood so the nail points will hold.
