Clouds will linger near the Southeast coast as breezes northeast in the wake of a cold front continue to import moist air. 8. Cool air will linger across the Northeast for one more day as an upper-level low continues to import air from Canada. 9. During the day, clouds will break elsewhere in the Northeast as cool northerly breezes import drier air. 10. From satellite, the explosion of storms resembled the monsoon in July and August, a period characterized by shifting winds that import tropical air into the deserts. |
