1. A group of specific clinical signs seem useful in predicting hypoxaemia. 2. In addition, we have shown that the physiological measurement of hypoxaemia is significantly related to prognosis and to clinical signs. 3. Systems of treatment based on simple clinical signs have been developed and validated for the management of respiratory infections. 4. The use of multiple logistic regression allowed the selection of the most useful clinical signs which are predictive of hypoxaemia. |
