1.   A winter mode improves traction on slippery surfaces, and traction control is standard.

2.   If you intend to do a lot of upcountry driving in the winter, make sure you get winter mode.

3.   It is set in winter mode.

4.   Set in winter mode, it starts the car off in second gear to avoid slippage.

5.   The five-speed automatic has summer and winter modes and a Sportshift control with just one forward position.

6.   The transmission has economy, sport and winter modes, the latter bypassing first and second gears for better starts on slippery surfaces.
