1.   Assemblyman Thomas M. Reynolds, the Erie County Republican chairman, predicted that Pataki would win his county.

2.   Magnuson won every county in the state.

3.   On Election Day, Gore had handily won this county, which is in the northeastern part of the state and includes Daytona Beach.

4.   Schumer took it by eight points Tuesday, again despite a strong showing by Pataki, who won the county handily.

5.   The fact is, Pataki himself won every county outside New York City.
