1.   Congressman Ashley from Toledo, Ohio, originally opposed including the counties but eventually shifted his position to get the bill passed.

2.   Both Miller and McIntyre believe it would be wasteful to include counties that already are helped by the Appalachian Regional Commission or the Delta Regional Authority.

3.   It includes all counties except Palm Beach, which went heavily for Gore.

4.   The Los Angeles price survey area includes the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura.

5.   The pilot program includes the counties that comprise the State Police Troop G area, including Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady counties.

6.   Those include the counties in which my parents and sister live.

7.   Twenty-one counties are included in the emergency declaration, including Tarrant, Dallas, Denton and Wise counties.

8.   At issue is whether the tallies still coming in from Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties will be included in the final Florida presidential vote count.
