A cold rain on the high plains and along the east slopes of the Rockies will turn to wet snow in central Colorado and Wyoming. 3. A gentle wind from the north had channeled just enough chilly air across the Niagara peninsula and down the upper Hudson Valley to turn the rain to wet snow. 4. A pocket of very cold air aloft will change rain to wet snow in the highest elevations. 5. Colder air will turn the rain to wet snow in Michigan and Wisconsin with several inches likely in southern sections. 6. Farther inland, there will be a narrow wedge of sleet and freezing rain, which will change to wet snow from western Virginia to southeastern New England. 7. However, rain will change to wet snow from the Adirondacks to western Maine with several inches of accumulation likely. 8. Light rain will fall in the interior Northeast, although the rain may change to wet snow before ending over parts of western Pennsylvania and western New York. 9. Rain will change to wet snow along the east slopes of the southern Rockies. 10. Rain will change to wet snow before ending in parts of the eastern Dakotas and northwestern Minnesota. |
