1. Altitude plays a part in producing this snow, and so does geography. 2. A complex storm over the southern Rockies will produce snow in the higher terrain of western Colorado and in the Four Corners area. 3. A disturbance developing in Texas will produce some snow in the southern Rockies and an expansive area of clouds in the southern Plains. 4. A large disturbance over the Rockies will produce heavy snow. 5. A moisture-starved disturbance will produce scattered snow in the northern Mississippi Valley and a few rain showers in the western Ohio Valley. 6. A potent area of low pressure moving across the south-central Rockies will produce mountain snows Monday. 7. A potent disturbance in California will produce heavy snow in the northern Sierra and gusty showers farther south. 8. A rapidly strengthening area of low pressure along the East Coast will produce snow from interior New England to eastern Pennsylvania Monday. 9. A second disturbance over western Kansas will produce heavier snow in parts of central Colorado with snow showers farther south. 10. A strengthening disturbance will produce intermittent snow over the northern Rockies. |
