1.   United started the second half with a little bit more spirit, a Les Phillips header was tipped over the bar by Stowell.

2.   Grasshopper goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler tipped a header from Richard Gough over the bar and, from the corner, McCoist header over.

3.   Hernandez had another good chance just before the half, but Ramirez tipped his header and the ball bounced off the crossbar.

4.   Creswell was denied a late equaliser when his bullet header was acrobatically tipped over the bar by Cudicini before Forssell finished off the visitors with a wonderful solo effort.
