1.   Trade in tiger products is banned under the provisions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

2.   They also want Western countries to ensure that tiger products are not being imported for Chinese communities there.

3.   A quarter of wild tigers have been killed over the past decade to support the lucrative enterprise involving tiger products, the World Wildlife Fund says.

4.   The London-based Environmental Investigation Agency said tiger products were found openly on sale in New York, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan.

5.   An education campaign aimed at halting the demand for tiger products will also be carried out.
