1.   Another monitor shows thunderstorm activity over Australia and Indonesia.

3.   Thunderstorm activity will be suppressed, with only isolated storms in the Central and Southern Appalachians and near the Southeast coast.

4.   A continued eastward movement today will greatly enhance afternoon showers across the west and interior of Puerto Rico ... Possibly producing strong thunderstorm activity.

5.   A vigorous upper-level trough will move southeast across the region on Wednesday, helping to enhance shower and thunderstorm activity across the local area.

6.   An upper-level trough located just north of Puerto Rico will also interact with the tropical wave to enhance the shower and thunderstorm activity this afternoon.

7.   An upper-level trough located across eastern Cuba and western Hispaniola will be moving rapidly across our region this afternoon, enhancing the shower and thunderstorm activity.

8.   Both radar and evening satellite imagery show a rapid decrease in shower and thunderstorm activity across the region.

9.   But an increase in low level moisture moving into the area this morning is expected to allow more widespread thunderstorm activity to develop this afternoon than on Saturday afternoon.

10.   But the overall trend will be for a decrease of shower and thunderstorm activity during the next couple of days.
