1.   Although they are not on strike themselves, they will not receive supplemental pay from GM, which normally is given during a layoff period.

2.   Nor can they afford to give laid-off workers supplemental pay on top of unemployment, as GM does to many non-strikers who were laid off.

3.   Other violations included improper recruiting of players enrolled at other schools, payments to players, supplemental pay for an assistant coach and granting too many football scholarships.

4.   The suit deals solely with the supplemental pay.

5.   Usually, such supplemental pay and benefits are extended for a specified period of time and are not guaranteed for the duration of military service.
