1.   Except for stubborn low clouds across the Northwest Coast and a few showers over the Olympic peninsula, the West will be mainly sunny and warm.

2.   In the Southeast, onshore winds will promote stubborn low clouds and spotty light rain from the northeast coast of Florida to coastal South Carolina.

3.   Meanwhile, stubborn low clouds and fog will linger along the southern California coast and in the southern San Joaquin Valley.

4.   Other than morning fog along the southern California Coast and some stubborn low clouds west of the Washington Cascades, the West will be mostly sunny and warm.

5.   Stubborn low clouds, however, will be slow to break in a few places, especially in the valleys of the Appalachians.

6.   Stubborn clouds will cover a large area of the country from the Plains to the Northeast.

7.   The Northwest will stay sunny and warm while stubborn clouds yield to late afternoon sun along the California coast.
