1.   A dealer said that reports of bank mergers and prospective mergers were also strengthening the ringgit.

2.   As the ringgit continues to decline, emphasis will be on export oriented products as export nominated in US dollars will strengthen the ringgit.

3.   For some strange reason rumours of a Malaysian land sale in Singapore strengthened the ringgit.

4.   He suggested that the Government give emphasis to strengthening the ringgit as this would result in lower import costs.

5.   It is believed that the export-orientated factories have a much better chance to strengthen our ringgit and resolve some of the tight liquidity problems.

6.   Malaysians should repatriate their deposits back into Malaysia since this will expand liquidity and at the same time strengthen the ringgit.
