1. Off in the distance you see enormous mountains reaching for the heavens with their towering peaks. 2. The weather was crisp and clear and you could see the mountains fifty miles away. 3. We could see the mountains stretching as far as Vermont. 4. You could see the mountains in the far distance. 5. We had seen mountains before,but we had never experienced anything even remotely like that initial impact of the Tetons. 6. Arriving in Alaska, we had expected to see majestic mountains, and we did. 7. Because of weather and limited traffic on the road, less than a third see the mountain. 8. But look beyond and you will see mountains rising steeply, rippling and folding above the Nervion River. 9. From the back porch, McNair can see the mountains of Vermont. 10. I guess when I think of State College I think of sunsets and seeing the mountains and remembering what the leaves felt like. |
